Geoscience Wales organises and hosts a number of events every year, centred around monthly meetings arranged for the benefit of Associates and other interested geoscientists. These meetings, usually held on the third Thursday of each month, provide a forum for networking and the exchange of ideas, with an authoritative speaker presenting latest ideas in their field. Networking usually starts at 18:00 and the presentation is scheduled for 45 minutes with 15 minutes allowed for questions, although the speakers additionally make themselves available for informal discussion afterwards, over refreshments.
